Rödental, June 10, 2022 – Wöhner, a leading solution provider in the field of energy distribution, control technology and renewable energies, received three awards at the German Brand Award 2022. The communication surrounding the digital product launch of the MOTUS C14 electronic motor starter was named "Winner" in the "Brand Innovation and Business Model" and "Brand Innovation of the Year" categories. The product design of the MOTUS C14 was awarded a "Special Mention".
The German Brand Award, one of the most important brand awards in Germany, is presented by the German Brand Institute, which was founded by the German Design Council and GMK Markenberatung. The award makes brand successes visible in a unique way and sees itself as a source of inspiration for the German brand industry.
The jury of the German Brand Award consists of independent, interdisciplinary experts from companies, science, consulting, services and agencies. Entries are judged according to the criteria of originality and brand typicity, brand distinctiveness, differentiation from the competition and target group relevance. Brand management should take into account aspects such as sustainability, degree of innovation, continuity and future viability. Factors such as the design quality of the brand presence, the homogeneity of the brand experience and economic success also play a decisive role in the judging process.

MOTUS C14: lightning-fast and space-saving
The MOTUS C14 sets new standards in safeguarding machinery and equipment. The fuseless, re-energising electronic motor protection reacts faster than any fuse. When a fault occurs, the electronics switch off the motor within a maximum of 10 microseconds. The MOTUS C14 also features a particularly slim housing design that minimizes space requirements. Translucent materials make function and technology visible. Operation is via an OLED display and LED-guided maintenance and fault management. Details such as the blue viewing pane refer at first glance to the typical Wöhner design with its high relevance for practical user-friendliness.
Comprehensive launch campaign
Due to the trade fair cancellations in the wake of the pandemic, the MOTUS C14 was launched digitally – with an online event including an informative product film. In terms of design, the campaign picked up on the special features of the product innovation, such as the signaling concept with light and glow effects. The launch was rounded off with elements such as e-mail marketing, print ads, a social media campaign, a product reveal clip, a launch event website, a product microsite, and an elaborate product brochure.
