Wöhner honoured as Brand of the Century
Wöhner is now one of the "GERMAN STANDARDS – Brands of the Century"
Rödental, February 11th, 2022 – Brands of the Century are brands that manage to define an entire genre of products or services and set standards in their field. This was also the case for Wöhner. In a 3-stage selection process, the Wöhner brand was positively evaluated in the product category "busbar system technology" and confirmed as the brand of the century. At a festive award ceremony held yesterday in Berlin, Dr. Florian Langenscheidt presented the award winners with their brand trophy. As of now, Wöhner is represented in the compendium of the ZEIT publishing house with the title "GERMAN STANDARDS – Brands of the century".
As an internationally renowned specialist for international fuse and busbar systems in the fields of energy distribution, control technology and renewable energies, Wöhner stands for technical innovation and forward-looking technologies for the distribution and control of electrical energy. The 60 mm busbar system developed by Wöhner has firmly established itself as a generic term and quasi-standard in the field of low-voltage distribution and control technology and is now the most frequently used busbar system in many sectors for a wide range of industrial applications.

The "German Standards - Brands of the Century" award was taken over by the ZEIT publishing house in 2018 and determines the qualifying brands according to its own concept. While other prizes and awards on the topic of "brand" are based almost exclusively on a selection process by a jury, the selection process for the Brands of the Century is based on binding rules that are described transparently in a set of rules. The 3-stage evaluation is carried out by a jury and is based on selected facts that speak for the success of a brand. Each positively evaluated brand receives the Brand Sheet, which transparently reveals the selection process, confirms the brand as "Brand of the Century" and guarantees its unique position in a specific product category.
