Rödental/Hanover, 17 April 2023 – German Chancellor Olaf Scholz visited the booth of Wöhner, a leading supplier of energy distribution, control technology and renewable energies, as part of his tour at Hannover Messe. He was told how the products of the family-owned company from Rödental in Upper Franconia, Germany, increase efficiency in energy distribution and thus play a decisive role in the energy transition.

"Particularly the past year has shown how important a secure energy supply is. This includes ensuring that this energy is distributed safely and used efficiently. The fact that a German family-owned company leads the way in this and provides solutions worldwide is a good example of the power of technological innovations from Germany," Chancellor Olaf Scholz said. "This strengthens Germany as a business location and secures our technological sovereignty."

At the Wöhner booth, the Chancellor gained an impression of product highlights such as the electronic motor starter MOTUS C14, which detects short circuits before they even occur. Energy distribution systems that enable individual solutions for control technology in the control cabinet were also displayed. In addition, Wöhner showed products at the trade fair that ensure plant safety in wind power and photovoltaic systems and thus act as enablers of the energy transition.

"The Chancellor's visit is an enormous honour for us and impressively underlines the key contribution we make to energy security and efficiency in Germany and globally," Philipp Steinberger, CEO at Wöhner, says. "We take this recognition as an incentive to continue to put all our creative energy into the service of optimal energy distribution and thus promote sustainable as well as high-performance systems equally."

The fuse systems from Wöhner are installed in control cabinets of all sizes and guarantee safe processes with the greatest possible energy efficiency at the same time – resource-saving and resilient. This applies to small machines, to large plants as well as to the Allianz Arena in Munich or Schiphol Airport in Amsterdam.

The highlights at the Wöhner booth (number C66 in hall 12) also include the four- and five-pole CrossBoard, the electronic motor starter MOTUS C14 and the measurement technology module CrossMT. In addition, the company presents its basic systems 60Classic and 185 Power.
