Wöhner presents smart power distribution solutions at SPS 2024

Expanded portfolio for even more applications

Rödental / Nuremberg, 7th November 2024 – Wöhner, leading provider of power distribution, control technology and renewable energies, will be showcasing modern technologies for efficient power distribution and sustainable energy management at SPS in Nuremberg. The family-owned company can be found at booth 350 in hall 9 from 12th to 14th November.

Expanded portfolio for even more application scenarios
The CrossBoard power distribution system from Wöhner is the ideal out-of-the-box system solution for power distribution, with minimal installation effort and a high level of safety thanks to touch-safe protection. The previous rated current limit of 160 amperes has been raised to 250 amperes, enabling new applications. The portfolio now includes a new generation up to 800 amperes, covering almost the entire spectrum of applications from control and automation technology to large power distribution systems.

Further trade fair highlights from Wöhner
At SPS, Wöhner will be presenting new solutions and functions that make the distribution of power even more efficient and safe. 

• The new CRITO power feed modules fulfil the individual requirements of every application – whether classically on the front or on the rear for additional space savings. 
   
• The new QUADRON NH00 fuse switch-disconnector impresses with improved technical ratings and a new design. The short-circuit resistance of 120 kA with a utilisation category of AC-23B complements the convenient handling. 
   
• With the SECUR UltraLiner, Wöhner is setting new standards for fused switching in the smallest installation space. The company is thus expanding its CrossBoard portfolio with the first genuine fuse switch in accordance with UL98 and paving the way for a broad application of the basic system CrossBoard in the UL world.
   
• The powerful 20 amperes Broome20 power supply unit ensures the reliable distribution of 24-volt auxiliary power in the control cabinet. With its extremely compact design of just 49.5 millimetres width and an efficiency of more than 96 percent, electronic switching devices and measurement technology products are supplied efficiently.
   
• With the new CAPUS, Wöhner fulfils the high demands placed on components for the safe switching of direct current. Developed for PV applications, it can reliably switch currents of up to 500 amperes at 1500 volts in the smallest of installation spaces and fulfils all UL98B requirements.
   
• The 185Power system world has received several expansions that make it the ideal solution for a networked and digitised distribution grid. 
   
• The new feature upgrades “energy counter” and “motor management” add functions for measuring and controlling energy values to the measurement technology module CrossMT. 
   
• With the CrossBar, Wöhner presents a concept study with which the CrossBoard can now be modularly expanded into four- and five-pole applications with maximum flexibility.

In the new hands-on area at the trade fair booth, visitors can experience for themselves how easy the products are to use. In addition to the new products, Wöhner will also be showcasing its basic systems CrossBoard, 60Classic, 185Power and Panel at SPS 2024.
