Innovations for the control cabinet: Wöhner at the Hannover Messe

Rödental, May 30, 2022 – Wöhner, a leading solution provider in the field of power distribution, control technology and renewable energies, will be represented at this year's Hannover Messe with numerous innovations and new products. From May 30 to June 2, visitors to booth C66 in Hall 12 of the exhibition center will once again experience the Wöhner portfolio "live". They will find the latest products for increasing efficiency and order in the control cabinet – much of it under the thematic umbrella of increasing digitalization and sustainability.

MOTUS C14
The MOTUS C14 sets new standards in the protection of machinery and equipment. The fuseless, reclosable electronic motor protection reacts faster than any fuse. If an error occurs, the electronics switch off the motor within a maximum of ten microseconds. This is made possible by the innovative C14 technology. This means that the system remains intrinsically safe at all times and can be switched on again immediately after the fault has been rectified. The electronic motor starter also offers integrated communication and measurement technology and is intuitive to operate. The communication interfaces provide all the necessary data for remote monitoring and fault diagnosis. The software upgrade for the soft start function to reduce the motor's starting torque will be presented. MOTUS C14 thus offers motor protection, fuse & soft start (reversing start). The corresponding parameters can be set either on the device or via the service tool.

More flexibility: CrossBoard with new widths
At the Hannover Messe, Wöhner is presenting the CrossBoard, a modular system solution for safe power distribution up to 160 A, especially in mechanical and plant engineering, in new, additional widths. The solution combines the advantages of a high-performance busbar system with traditional wiring on DIN mounting rails. With its front and rear contact protection to IP20, the CrossBoard is particularly safe; snapping on the components is just as easy as removing them, while the integrated reverse polarity protection prevents errors. The individual components also fit onto other busbar systems via adapters.

As of now, the out-of-the-box system with its current carrying capacity increased to 160 A is available in widths of 225, 405, 500, 600, 700, 800, 900, 1000 as well as 1,100 mm and thus offers the suitable width for every application in the centralized or decentralized control cabinet.

The CrossBoard's entry into digitization is made possible by the CrossMT electronic measurement adapter, which will also be on display in Hanover. It adds intelligent functions and connectivity wherever they are not present in control cabinet components. It measures current, voltage and temperature and uses them to calculate power, energy, phase angle and frequency – and thus the most important parameters in the control cabinet.

OMUS C14: a new electronic switch for precise switching of resistive loads with high frequency for controlling processes that switch frequently and very precisely

CAPUS switch series: the CAPUS Panel S32 load-break switch for the range between 160 and 3,150 A and the CAPUS Panel BB32 load-break switch for the range between 160 and 1,600 A.
