CEO Philipp Steinberger voted to the ZVEI Executive Committee

Rödental, 1 June 2026 – Philipp Steinberger, CEO of Wöhner, has been elected to the Executive Committee of the German Electrical and Electronic Manufacturers’ Association (ZVEI). In this role, together with the other committee members, he will take on even greater responsibility for the strategic development of the electrical and digital industry in Germany.

The sector is facing far-reaching changes: the energy transition, digitalisation, resilient supply chains and industrial competitiveness are among the key challenges of our time. The ZVEI Executive Committee develops the association’s strategic guidelines and represents the interests of the industry towards policymakers, business leaders and society.

“Our sector provides the technologies for an efficient and digital future. It is therefore even more important to have a strong dialogue on industrial policy and close cooperation within the association. I am very much looking forward to playing an active role in shaping the future agenda of the electrical and digital industry as a member of the ZVEI Executive Committee,” says Philipp Steinberger.

Long-standing commitment to the ZVEI

Wöhner has been actively involved in the ZVEI since 1993, contributing its expertise in the field of smart power distribution to the association’s work. Philipp Steinberger has been a member of the ZVEI Executive Board since 2023 and, through his election to the Executive Committee, is now expanding his responsibilities within the association.

The ZVEI represents the interests of more than 1,100 companies from the electrical and digital industries and is one of Germany’s leading industrial associations. The sector stands for innovation, digitalisation and sustainable technologies, and plays a central role in the transition towards a climate-neutral industrial society.
